SMTP Relaying
One of the services offered Gold members
is the ability to have mail for a domain redirected to a
mail server and port of your choosing. If your ISP does not
permit port 25 traffic then this can allow you to run your
own mail server anyway. Here's how it works:
If your domain is hosted here at Colynx then just send
us an email requesting that all mail sent to your domain
be relayed to your mail server's hostname or IP address
and the port of your choosing. We'll take care of the
rest. If your domain is not hosted at Colynx then you'll
have to change the MX record for your domain to point
to mail.colynx.com. All you have to do is make sure your
mail server is configured to accept mail for your domain
on the port you chose. As soon as the DNS update propagates
you'll begin receiving email on your own mail server.
